Sleep Photography

"Smile," you're on Bedtime Network.  Cindy Bressler is a devil with an iPhone.  Careful where you sleep.  Careful what you wear.  She just might find you and you just might find you HERE.

I've been a big fan of Bill Cunningham, the legendary street style photographer, for years.  Checking out Bill's latest shots in Sunday 's New York Times while sipping a hazelnut coffee is one of my favorite weekend rituals.  You can also catch Bill's On The Street audio slide shows on The New York Times website.  I love listening to his take on fashion trends and his fresh and insightful perspective on the past and present.  If you haven't yet had the pleasure of watching these clips, you don't know what you're missing.

Every day, rain or shine, Bill, now in his 80s, still hops on his bike to photograph interestingly dressed people around New York City.  Bill's subjects run the gamut.  He captures shots of celebs.  But he's equally intrigued by the styles of the common man, woman or child.

Bill's flair for finding something special in the every day has inspired me.  Recently, I've found myself pulling out my iPhone in random places to take a shot of something that strikes a chord.  More often than not, my subjects have something to do with, you guessed it, SLEEP

Here's a photo I took last week on the Upper East Side of New York City.  "I sleep to dream."  Interesting take on things, don't you think?

I'll look forward to sharing more "sleep photos" with you right here.  And if you've got some fun ones you'd like to share, please post them on our Facebook page.

SMILE,,you just might find yourself on Bedtime Network.
